company profile
Argonaut Marine has been providing computer lofting support since 1989. We focus exclusively on lofting. No projects are too small and few projects are too large. In our quest to provide the best support at a competitive price, we have developed many of our own software programs to automate the lofting process. All of our methods have been proven effective whether building an inexpensive workboat or a multi-million dollar yacht. We are committed to maximum flexibility to accommodate any special request from the builder. Each project begins by developing a full-scale 3D computer model. All of the project components are derived from these models. These components include flat panel parts, frames, longitudinals, decks, and shell plate. The module breakdown, material sizes, part numbers, burn code format, stiffener and plate reports can all be customized to best fit your production methods. Also included are tabular plate reports listing plate numbers with their associated parts and weights. Stiffener cut lists can also be provided. We often supply jigs to support certain construction strategies. Backgrounds for system development and outfitting needs can also be provided.
Along with supporting new construction, we have also provided support for a considerable number of hull modification projects. We have developed methods for reliable hull measurements and structural identification to assist with the removal and replacement of steel and aluminum structure.
The principles of lofting aluminum and steel can be applied to any project requiring detailed layout of plate components before fabrication. If you need additional information or have special requests, please phone us at (206) 935-4812 or e-mail us at argonaut@argonautmarine.com.
